Pursuing Graduate School in Biology - Presentation and Q & A

Cal Poly Humboldt faculty will discuss the basics of identifying prospective advisors and schools, preparing an application, preparing for interviews, how graduate studies are funded, and how to eventually choose a graduate program. Plus, they will answer your questions about the process.  Two sessions offered!

Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Lecture, Wednesday, March 15

The Sequoia Park Zoo & Foundation are hosting their final conservation lecture of the season on Wednesday, March 15 at 7:00 PM as a hybrid event, offered both in-person and on Zoom. Stephanie Mietz and Sue Moore will present “The Bayside Pollinator Project: Growing Native Plants, Educating Youth, and Building Community.” The event begins with a Zoo update slideshow at 6:45 PM. The lecture starts promptly at 7:00 PM. Attendees are encouraged to ask the speakers questions after the presentation.

Marine Science Summer Camp is Now Open for Registration

The Marine Summer Science programs are for children interested in learning about the marine environment and the organisms who reside there. Hands-on experiments and activities will be done each day in combination with some guest speakers and arts and crafts activities.  Lessons will be designed to encourage students to think critically about our environments and how we interact with them.
